Jenny and Tony Enderby

Tony and Jenny Enderby are the authors of nine books to date. Other work includes photojournalism specialising in natural history especially marine life and travel. They are now retired and doing quite a bit more travel in New Zealand and overseas.
Their photographs have been used in books, displays at the Goat Island Marine Discovery Centre, travel brochures, websites, newspapers and magazines around the world. 
Diving trips have included many Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Queensland. Other travel has included India, England, France, Germany, Japan, China, Scotland, USA, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Sri Lanka, Canada and Alaska.
They have dived, snorkelled, walked etc extensively around the local Leigh area and can help with any questions you may have on Leigh. They have a lovely bed and breakfast room with own bathroom and enjoy hosting guests and helping to make their visit enjoyable.

Tony and Jenny are honorary marine reserve rangers for the Department of Conservation at the famous Goat Island Marine Reserve at Leigh. Tony is also a First Response Medic for the Leigh Volunteer Fire Brigade.

DOC Conservation Achievement Award

Their work in promoting and educating people in the value of protecting the marine environment gained them the Auckland Conservation Award for Awareness and Education in 2006.

Tony has snorkelled since he was at school and completed a CMAS snorkel and Ocean Diver One Star Course in 1975, Ocean Diver Two Star in 1985, PADI Rescue Diver in 1987 and PADI Divemaster course recently. He has completed more than 1500 scuba dives.

He has been a member of the Conchology Section of the Auckland Museum since 1974 and is a past President and past Editor of the Conchology Section’s Poirieria magazine.

Jenny completed her PADI Open Water Scuba Diver Certificate in 1986 and her PADI Advanced Diver and PADI Rescue Diver Courses in 1995. She has completed over 1200 scuba dives and has taken school groups snorkelling and exploring the rocky reefs at Goat Island for more than 15 years.
