A day in the life of a Goat Island glass bottom boat captain

It’s 5:30am when my alarm goes off, time to start my day as a glass bottom boat captain on Goat Island. I get dressed and head down to the docks to start my morning routine. I check the boat and make sure everything is in order before heading out into the harbor. The sun is just starting to come up as I cast off and head towards the first stop on my tour, the lighthouse.

As I approach the lighthouse, I can see the light shining out over the water. I give the tour group a brief history of the lighthouse and point out some of the features before moving on. We head towards the next stop, the seal colony.

As we approach the colony, I can see the seals basking in the sun on the rocks. I give the tour group a brief history of the colony and point out some of the features before moving on. We head towards the next stop, the reef.

As we approach the reef, I can see the colorful fish swimming in the water. I give the tour group a brief history of the reef and point out some of the features before moving on. We head back to the docks and I finish my day.
